Is the Executioner's Duet a good one to specialize on?

Thinking of making the Executioner's Duet my go-to. It's a Melee. For people who main it -- is it a good long-term pick or a honeymoon that wears off once the novelty fades?

me: reads a balanced take on the Executioner's Duet. also me: keeps doing the dumb thing. worth it.
