News Moderation notice: two accounts removed for duping and scamming

Cleaning house. Two members have been banned after review:

• surplus_sam - advertised suspiciously endless Legendary 'restocks' at dump prices and, when asked, refused to say where the gear came from. That's consistent with weapon duping, which is a hard no.
• flip_kev - ran a 'send your gear first' flip scam and took at least one confirmed member's Osprey rig without delivering.

Both trade threads are locked as record. If you traded with either recently and got burned, DM staff. We keep the trading section clean or we don't have one. Thanks to the members who flagged it with receipts.

Good. This is why 'no lowball, no scam' has to have teeth. A trade section is only worth anything if a duper can't undercut every honest grinder into the dirt. Well handled.

Appreciate staff actually acting on it. Getting my Osprey rig taken stung, but seeing Quinn gone stings a lot less. Onwards.

Genuinely torn - dupers are trash and good riddance, but part of me wants 'innocent until the logs prove it'. ...Then again 'does it matter where they came from' is basically a confession, so, yeah. Fair ban.

@no_more_mtx your instinct isn't wrong - we don't ban on vibes. This was receipts plus a member admitting on-thread he didn't care about the source. That's the bar, and it was cleared.

As a newbie this makes me feel a lot safer actually trading here. Thank you for keeping it clean.
