Guide Reading the wipe timer: when to cut losses and get out

The single most valuable skill in the game isn't aim, it's knowing when to leave. Rule of thumb from too many dead runs: decide your exit at three minutes on the timer, not when you 'feel done'. Map your nearest Raider Hatch or elevator the moment you land, not when the bombs are dropping. A full bag you extracted beats a perfect bag you crawled toward. Wade's thread is the tuition; this is the lesson.

being cited as 'the tuition' is the most accurate thing anyone has said about me. everything in this guide is correct and i will ignore all of it lovingly

I had SO much time. I did not have that much time.

Three-minute rule is the one. I'd add: if you're already over-bagged and greedy, leave at FOUR. Greed and a full stash don't mix.

Pinning this logic in my head for the newbie questions. Clean, calm, and it'll save people more gear than any weapon guide.

Staff - report it, don't riot about it.

Leaving early stopped feeling like failure once I framed it as 'banking the run'. This helped that click.
