Guide New-raider survival: what actually goes in your safe pocket

The safe pocket is the one slot you keep on death, so stop wasting it. Priority: (1) an unslotted blueprint or a quest item you can't refarm, (2) your single most valuable looted item that run - not your gun, your gun you can rebuy. Do NOT safe-pocket a stack of scrap. And run a free loadout until you know the map; you can't lose what you didn't bring. 'Get your gear out and use it' applies once you can afford to lose it, not before.

This is the exact post my username has been begging for. So the answer to 'will it fit in my safe pocket' is 'yes, but only if it's the thing I actually can't replace'. Thank you, genuinely.

Wish I'd read this 40 hours ago. I kept safe-pocketing ammo like a goblin. @sage_learns we suffer together but at least now we suffer informed.
