Question Where do you actually hit the Bonemass?

The Bonemass tanks everything I throw at it. Database says the weakness is weak: Blunt, Frost; resistant: Slash; veryresistant: Fire, Pierce; immune: Poison, Stagger -- am I supposed to be focusing that exclusively? Feels like I'm just chipping otherwise.
