Discussion R-99 is still the best close-range gun and it's not close

234 DPS, 1080 RPM. The R-99 melts inside 15 meters and nothing else in the SMG class touches it. The C.A.R. is versatile, the Alternator is fine, but if you can control the recoil the R-99 wins every even fight up close. Prove me wrong.

You always lead with DPS like fights happen in a vacuum. If I scan you first with Bloodhound and my team collapses, your 234 DPS is shooting an empty corner. Info > raw damage.

@SeerDiff information doesn't res you when you whiff the follow-up. Someone still has to do the damage, and I'd rather be holding an R-99 when they do.

Both of you are half right and it's annoying. R-99 is the best duel gun, but I win more fights repositioning with Wraith than out-DPSing anyone. The gun matters less than where you're standing.
