Discussion Nemesis Burst AR or Volt SMG for the meta?

Been running the Nemesis Burst AR (Assault rifle (Energy Ammo)) but everyone keeps pushing the Volt SMG (Submachine Gun (Energy Ammo)). For those who've used both -- which actually wins, and in what situation?

i have three Nemesis Burst ARs and the emotional maturity to keep all of them. good luck though.
