Worth running the Stitcher or is it a trap?

Been eyeing the Stitcher (Common SMG). Is it actually worth building/running or is it one of those things that looks good on paper and disappoints in the field? Convince me either way.

Adding to this: the thing people miss is that positioning matters more than the gear here.
